The above parties today released the details of the route for the eighth return shipment of vitrified waste from France to Japan. The relevant details are as follows:

1. The route of the shipment will be via Panama Canal
2. The ship is expected to arrive in Japan in late July 2003

"Pacific Swan", the ship being used to transport the eighth return shipment of vitrified waste, left the port of Cherbourg at 8:25 PM, local time (3:25 AM.5 June, Japan Standard Time) on 4 June 2003.
