The above parties have announced that "Pacific Swan", the transport ship that departed Cherbourg, France on 4 June 2003 carrying the eighth shipment of vitrified waste, will reach Japanese territorial waters at approximately 8:30 on 23 July. Estimated time of arrival at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara, Rokkasho-Mura, Aomori prefecture is 11:00 the same day.

Unloading of the transport casks is scheduled to begin on 24 July at 8:50. The ship is scheduled to leave the port at approximately 16:00 same day.
